When you sneeze, some people still greet you with 'Bless you' (Gesundheit)
sometimes even, ' Jupiter preserve you'. It started from the belief that some life
essence was sneezed out with the saliva, or even the soul. In times of plague,
it can be a symptom of infection.
Nowadays, sneezing three times in quick succession was a very good
omen ( My pet, Daomingming, usually does "hachi-achi-chi!" ), also with two people
sneezing at the same time. And if you suppress a sneeze, it is a sign of having a secret admirer ( I think I should
try that!) .
